Hispaniola-Design for solidarity sees involved ten Italian and international designers in the planning of furnish, particularly benches, for the scholastic structures, so said ones “escuelitas”, sustained by the Italian association ColorEsperanza and managed by the Dominican ONG OnéRespé in areas of strong degrade of the Dominican Republic, that entertain every year hundreds of Dominican and Haitian children excluded by the public education.
The goal is double: from a side to bring the attention, by now soptia, on the situation of Haiti; to concretely contribute to the local economy, through a creative and productive impulse able to bait innovative processes of development, that conjugate design and local artisanship and promote the cooperation “to three” among Italy, Haiti and the near Dominican Republic.
